Crusty Bread

I recently found this recipe on Pinterest--- I have made the bread twice in the past week so it must be amazing!!!Not only does it taste so similar to crusty sour dough but it is a breeze to make.

Okay for the bread recipe---

In a large bowl combine 3 cups of flour, 1 3/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon yeast.

Add 1 1/2 cups of water and mix together.

Then cover with plastic wrap.  Let the bowl rise overnight on the counter top for 12 - 18 hours.

Following day, preheat the oven to 450 degrees.  Once it reaches 450, place your dutch oven or cast iron pot (with lid) into the oven to warm for 30 minutes.

Now turn out your dough on to a well floured surface.  It will be very shaggy and sticky, you will use lots of flour, but shape the dough into a ball.

Once the pot is ready, carefully (it's really hot!) drop your dough ball into the cast iron pot, place the lid back on, and bake for 30 minutes.

Then remove lid and bake the bread for an additional 15 minutes.

Once timer is up your bread should be completed and look amazingly delicious.  Let cool for at least 15 - 30 minutes, how ever long you can wait before having to slice a piece off to devour. : )
