Okay for the bread recipe---
In a large bowl combine 3 cups of flour, 1 3/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon yeast.
Add 1 1/2
cups of water and mix together.
Then cover with plastic wrap. Let the bowl rise overnight on the counter top for 12 - 18 hours.
Following
day, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Once it reaches 450, place your
dutch oven or cast iron pot (with lid) into the oven to warm for 30
minutes.
Now turn out
your dough on to a well floured surface. It will be very shaggy and
sticky, you will use lots of flour, but shape the dough into a ball.
Once
the pot is ready, carefully (it's really hot!) drop your dough ball
into the cast iron pot, place the lid back on, and bake for 30 minutes.
Then remove lid and bake the bread for an additional 15 minutes.
